 *MOON SIGHTING UPDATE* 

Assalamu-Alaikum,

*Moon Was  Sighted* 

Respected Ulamaa,Brothers and Sisters,

The crescent moon to commence the month of SHAWWAL 1445 AH was looked for after the sunset on Tuesday 09th April 2024. Reports from committees confirm that the moon was sighted. THE HILAL COMMITTEE OF TORONTO & VICINITY has accepted these repots and has declared that the month of Ramadan 1445 AH will complete 29 days. therefore, the 1st day of Shawwal 1445 AH will be on Wednesday April 10th, 2024.

They are on the correct path and follow the hadith of prophet Mohammed صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ They don't follow Saudi Arabia or egypt for their comfort As per prophet Mohammed صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ open your fasting after sighting the moon and break your fasting after sighting the moon.
